My name is Gael, and I am probably the only person in my circle who genuinely gets excited when an airline error fare notification comes in. While everyone else is asleep, I am scanning forums, Reddit, and aggregators. This is not work. This is a way of life.

It all started in 2019, when I found a flight from Berlin to Tokyo for 80 euros. Round trip. I checked three times, could not believe it, and bought it. Two days later the price was back up to 740. From that moment I understood: cheap flights exist, you just have to know how to find them. Since then I have traveled to more than 30 countries, spending roughly the same amount on flights that others spend on a single business-class ticket to Dubai.

Flexibility is my main tool. I have learned to fly on Wednesday mornings, connect through Chisinau, travel with carry-on only, and find a real thrill in all of it. The route is often decided by the price, not the other way around. That is exactly how I ended up in the Faroe Islands in November, in Turkey three times in one year, and in the Dominican Republic for 42 euros including all fees and taxes.
